D.O.TEC® EXBOX.ADAT is an ADAT / MADI converter equipped with eight ADAT I/Os and two MADI ports (coaxial BNC and optical SC). ADAT signals are translated to MADI and vice versa from MADI to ADAT signals. Both MADI outputs may be used at the same time. The device is housed in a robust and handy cabinet covering both studio application and mobile use.

D.O.TEC® EXBOX.ADAT integrates ADAT equipment into a MADI environment.

Fixed audio routing

All 64 channels of the MADI signal are allocated to the eight ADAT ports, each of feeding eight channels. Looping of particular MADI channels (in groups of eight channels) is possible by bridging the respective ADAT port.

D.O.TEC® DualSync™

The device syncs automatically to MADI and ADAT inputs. The use of D.O.TEC® DualSync™ technology enables independent synchronisation - MADI to ADAT conversion can be clocked independently from the ADAT to MADI direction.

Automatic format detection

The format of the MADI input signal (48k Frame <> 96k Frame, 56 ch <> 64 ch) is detected automatically. The output format of the MADI output signal is set according the input signal condition of ADAT port 8:
signal on port 8 = 64 ch <> no signal on port 8 = 56 ch.

Safe operation

Two external power supply units with solid Hirose connectors provide safe operating conditions with redundancy.
